(Indie) gentes: (A)islados Arte brut y outsider de Cuba (Isolated Outsider and Brut Art of Cuba)
A documentary film about a gallery artist in Cuba who opened his studio to people who live on the streets and suffer from mental illnesses. These outsider artists make incredible art using the sparse and rudimentary materials available to them. In intimate interviews with five of the artists, the film focuses on the obstacles that they have endured and overcome in order to present their work for their very first exhibit in Cuba.  Produced and translated by Spanish professor Anne Connor.
