Is LSD a safe and effective treatment for anxiety or depression in patients who are suffering a life-threatening illness? When LSD is used as a treatment for patients with severe anxiety or depression following a life-threatening disease, we see reliable evidence of its safety and its effectiveness in patients; however, more research needs to be done to be sure this therapy could work at a clinical level.
