The five senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching, give students the opportunity to do hands-on and inquisitive activities to connect to the world around them. The presenter created, led, and implemented a weekly lesson using integrated sensory experiences. Integrating the five senses with nature, science, music, and math was a goal of the project. Teaching children through their senses gives them an intrinsic love of learning, connections to others, and anxiety relief.
