Learning self-advocacy and determination through the practice of vocational skills prepares young adults with special needs for independent living. The Compassion Coffee Cart is a project implemented to further grow and develop the life and vocational skills of these students, ages eighteen to twenty-one. Giving students the opportunity to use these skills enables them to learn self-advocacy and determination that will ultimately support them towards independent living.
