Mindfulness is key to community building through kindness in the classroom. The presenter taught a kindergarten class at Riverside Elementary, in which the students worked on community building, kindness, and mindfulness. Students listened to children's books, cared for ladybugs, and created art projects. Students were motivated to practice and display mindfulness as well as kindness in the classroom with their peers.
