Pregnancy and childbirth are frequently treated as a medical emergency instead of as a significant biological event that may necessitate some medical help from time to time. In effect, medical interventions are used much more often than necessary. Newborns are greatly affected by intervention practices, and the negative ramifications have been documented through childhood into adolescence. Women tend to not be well-educated about innate processes or about medical options.
